Now we need to add some backing to the gauge faces.  Right click to bring up the Cylinder Properties menu to check the settings.  Left click to create a cylinder, you'll only be able to see the top part of it like you did with the torus.  Right click on the Object Selection icon to bring up the Object Info menu.  Set the size to the settings listed, since it's a circle you'll want the X and Y settings the same, the Z setting is for the thickness so make it small.  Now use the Object Move tools to place the cylinder in the center of the gauge border.  Use the View Tools to zoom in and center.







Change to the Side View, use the View Tools to zoom and center on the panel face.  Use the Object Move tools to move the gauge backing up and position the gauge backing just above the panel face.
 
 








Switch to the Top View and copy the gauge backing. Use the Object Move tools to postion the rest of the backings in the center of the gauge borders.









Click on the Render button and see how it looks!  Missing something you say? Screws I say!  Time to add the screw you made a bit ago.  Click on File > Load Object and choose the screw you made.  It will appear off the screen so use the Object Move tools to bring it up where you can see it and position it on the panel face.




Change back to the top view.  If the screw is not the right size use the Object Info menu to fix it.  You're sizing a ball basically so make the X, Y and Z settings all the same.  Use the Object Move tools to position the screw where you want it.  Make a copy, position that one, make a copy, position that one, etc.
